Re: Likely World Area

Thats why i figured it would contest the holding/route. Victim loses 1 turn income, 1 action to rule out of contest, and temporary loses the resource. Raider only gains 1 or 2 GB/unit max 2x prov level, of the resource. It is going to require 2+ raids for even inexpensive buildings. It would have to...

Re: Likely World Area

Where do the raiding rules stand currently? It would seem like an a valuable addition to early game to be able to raid provinces or trade routes for resources. Gaining resources to allow X GB of build or training actions, instead or in addition to GB gained. Maybe instead inflicting GB losses, cause...

Re: Topic: Armies too large

I don't mind a regenerating force pool for mustering. Would meet the meta objective of putting a speed bump for large armies, like training is a speed bump for good armies. I am opposed to a force pool that puts a hard cap on a maximum army size. City states have the resources to maintain larger arm...

Re: Children

I think adding 1/3 of the parents average is what is skewing the numbers too much. You probably want that to fall between +/-2 or 4 max. Consider +/- 1 If parents stats are high/lower than the roll. For every 5 points different the parents modifier is doubled. [edit: I misread that the dice pool was...

Re: Topic: Demi Humans too good

Last Game humans got +1 DP, if they are still inferior that bonus can be increased.

Or give them priority starting location. It would reduce interracial harmony if the dwarves and elves showed up and all the good homes were being broken down to make roads.

Re: Topic: Armies too large

If you are looking to reduce gold further, consider an upkeep penalty for off class holdings. I really enjoyed in the Enothril campaigns that Guild domains could make more money than a state holder could.

Re: Likely World Area

Would you consider randomizing the resources, with a bias towards the existing model.
IE: Mountains 70% have stone 30% have Iron, Hills 50% Iron, 25% stone/Grain.
Maybe have a couple super provinces with two resource types?

Re: Fluff Discussions about what was going on

Olaf genuinely held good will towards all players, though lived a very Isolated existence. He was nebulous about the Serpent Federation, at first thinking them bullied but unreasonable, later a bully and correct in their protestations. Krassny's Vos were a pleasant surprise, and and treated as good ...

Re: Topic: Armies too large

Consider modifications for undead and summoned units when modifying muster rules.

Did Undead work as intended this game, especially with winter campaigns? Should they suffer attrition as well, even if just a negligible amount?

Re: Topic: Demi Humans too good

Have to say I loved the variable season lengths. It provided some nice challenges. Decisions were less calculated and more reactive to opportunities.
