Making new characters and establishing new relationships is always the fun part!
Yeah. I love seeing how different someone will be from game to game, and maybe getting a chance to play more with someone I haven't played with much in a while because of how the last game shaped up.

Re: Future game set-up concepts

Ultiumately, these stories are more about the metaplot than in any individual character plot. We can tell whatever stories we want in our heads about our characters and we can share them with one another, but the metaplot is the cooperative story we are telling together. When most players stop tell...

Re: Future game set-up concepts

Previous games haven't ended because the majority felt that the story was over, they ended because the majority felt the story couldn't continue due to events beyond their control. And not long ago in this conversation, that was the argument being made. Either way, 'the majority' hasn't spoken, a m...

Re: Future game set-up concepts

In cooperative story-telling, the story is over when the majority think its over. Was I done with Friedrich's story when the world blew up in the Great Bay? No. It was just getting started. But each of our individual stories are side-stories. If the majority feel like the story here is exhausted, th...

Re: Future game set-up concepts

I noticed a less than active playerbase too. I assumed the school year starting, might be messing with a few peoples free time. Im sure losing a day of work for Thanksgiving didnt help juans workload either. For me it's definitely the beginning of the school year. I have less time now than I did in...

Re: Future game set-up concepts

I'd be interested in seeing a picture of your gaming room, if you don't mind sharing. Sounds really cool!

Re: Questions - Diaspora IV

So, if you pick "give him RP" and then decide to convert all your RP into GBs, would he get 0 regardless of the roll because you have no RP to give?

Re: Questions - Diaspora IV

How will Maulok tier 4 interact with Verdaloth tier 5? If you have random responses to all the events and are of evil alignment, could Maulok wind up forcing you to convert most or all your RPs into GBs?

Re: Questions - Diaspora IV

Does Maulok tier 2 (all rolls -3 to +3) intersect with Maulok tier 4 if you go the RP route? If so, what happens if the number winds up going into the negatives? Does Maulok have to give you RP?

Re: Future game set-up concepts

Can also make alliances (military, defensive, offensive, etc) require an actual action to setup and have a DC involved (must be successful by all parties involved). The more parties involved in the alliance, the higher the DC (reflecting the difficulties of finding common grounds and agreeable term...
