Re: Questions
Nifty! I assume you're referring to the mass defection thing.

Re: Questions
About ending battles, and getting away from them once they've begun: If three rounds of battle pass without either side being defeated or withdrawing, the province remains contested, and both sides remain in the province. (We see this happen a lot!) The battle doesn't necessarily have to resume, but...

Re: Questions
What I just said about the ship movements is assuming the blockade fleet are the 'defenders', meaning either war was declared on them, or they're losing the war so far, as measured by how many provinces of theirs have been occupied compared to how many they've occupied of their opponents. In this wa...

Re: Questions
Right, I thought it was impossible to cast realm magic at sea. And since it's impossible to cast arcane spells without a local source, no arcane spells in sea regions either. Seems like both happened this turn, despite that. We already know about boarders. Levies, irregulars, scouts, and cavalry are...

Re: Questions
Remember that war moves are one week long in the original rules--there's four per action, three action rounds per season, four seasons per year. That means each battle round would be only 60 hours. I don't know why we're only doing three war moves per action round, but I know we're doing a year per ...

Re: Questions
Outrageous! No race is superior to goblins. That's why there's no goblin regent PCs, we all respect their power too much.

Re: Questions
Sidhelien is the one with 3 for plains and forests. Sidhelien have the worst 'movement costs', but since they treat all provinces as having roads it only matters for rule and settle DCs.
Third is goblins.
Third is goblins.

Re: Questions
You're never going to be casting a realm spell while going on an adventure, since going on an adventure and casting a realm spell are mutually exclusive regent actions. I just reserved 4 first level spell slots for realm magic and called it a day. You are beyond lucky if you find the time to researc...

Re: Questions
Yeah, well don't base it on the description, base it on what level it says the spells are in the rule books. I don't have all the rule books, but the core book has most of the spells, and of the 13 wizard spells that are in it, only 4 are 1st level spells.

Re: Questions
Much less than 90%. I get the spell level requirements from the Birthright Rulebook. Realm spells are not separate, they do have spell levels. You don't get them for free, they take an action to research. They count toward your limit on spells known per spell level. You can't prepare them as daily s...
