Fair enough. It is certainly fitting for a LG person to be endlessly self-righteous

Re: Future game set-up concepts
You just have to bear in mind that evil isn't "EVIL" in our alignment system use. It is oppositional to good - which can be a reason to dislike those people - of course - but the bias is against "different" - not a "reasonable hatred of those baby eaters." For example - in Mishrak's frame of referen...

Re: Future game set-up concepts
I was writing up a long rationale but decided to delete it. I will stick with my previous position on discussing IC things OOC. I believe Mishrak is entirely consistent internally with what motivates him. The methodology of pursuing his motives are filtered by his alignment which may or may not have...

Re: Future game set-up concepts
Don't forget the Gods manipulated all our alignments with their gifts.

Re: Future game set-up concepts
My primary point is that there needs to be actors - not just reactors. The only reason I have not turned to destroying Morcuan's island entirely is because - well - Morcuan seems to be the only entity activity trying to undermine the Hunt's power. And in Mishrak's world view - where there is no chal...

Re: Future game set-up concepts
From a story narrative perspective then. Game: Hircine and the Hunt appear on the scene. Victory (Verdaloth surrenders). Stalemate (the failure to take Aegis). String of failed attacks on Karamhul that drain more of their resources than those of The Hunt. No one intervenes - a few years pass - victo...

Re: Future game set-up concepts
Is it? I think it is more fun when I can plan ahead and have goals and objectives. There is nothing I like less than games that feel like d3 turn games where you have to rush to do things because nothing can ever be accomplished because the game is going to end (or some nonsense is going to happen)....

Re: Future game set-up concepts
This game has been somewhat more successful at avoiding the formation of a game-wide mega-alliance or a strict bipolar structure. Obviously "The Hunt" is powerful - but in the grand scheme - it is 4+3 out of what - 29 characters? Our power mostly rests on the fact that my constant warmongering was m...

Re: Warding Spell
You can Siphon the magic from an adjacent province that you have no source in. Technically doable. Though if they have a Source 6 this doesn't actually fail the ward spell. I agree it is an issue. I just don't agree that 12 turns in we can invalid entire strategies because of it. And you can (I am f...

Re: Warding Spell
Look at the silly number of pretty useless Wizard spells that all deal with fighting other Wizards. Trace Leyline/Sunder Leyline/Poison/Enhance.. etc. It seems to me that the design-intent was for wizards to operate in their own world and fight each other. If you didn't have an aligned wizard you we...
