Re: Future game set-up concepts

Unless the flaw is determined through consultation with the DM rather than simply chosen. Then the player who point-buys a world conquering army can have the flaw that their regent is a hippie.

Re: Future game set-up concepts

LG people can be hated for roughly the same reasons by someone of CG, CE, LE, or LG alignment (and vice-versa). In the latter case, that's because two LG characters can be from different backgrounds. The Knights of King Arthur and the Paladins of Charlemagne may get along when fighting undead, monst...

Re: Future game set-up concepts

The map was revealed late in this game, so realm alignments weren't visible until several turns after first contact anyway...

..and other players' character sheets aren't available, and character alignments don't have to match realm alignments in the first place.

Re: Future game set-up concepts

So, you're saying perhaps it's not the best strategy to attempt to ignore, block, and prevent interaction due to the misunderstandings and inevitable enmity that results? Very neatly, the first time Morcuan's opinion of Aingeal went down to the depths was when she revealed she doesn't practice what ...

Can you point to the reality you think you're referring to, or only to the bubbles you're blowing? Clearly the answer is 'plbbbbbt'.

That's quite a non-standard definition of 'officially'.

Re: Future game set-up concepts

For all you know, the game isn't over until someone breeds the right chocobo or catches the golden snitch. Blowing up the sky wasn't a given objective.

Re: Future game set-up concepts

The game isn't over, but it would be too early for a post-game analysis even if it were over because there's so much that hasn't been resolved, even in summary. We shouldn't reveal our secrets when we don't know the context they're in yet.

Re: Future game set-up concepts

Motivations for actions tend to be emotional, while the explanations given for them tend to be rationalizations to soothe the one providing them, yeah. It's good to know at least some alignment violations are that extreme, haha. The EasyDamus page describes the four quadrants as Openness to Change (...

Re: Future game set-up concepts

Very useful when the aim is to achieve plausible deniability. Even more useful than not reading about how the system works or what the definitions are... I'm not aware of one instance where Juan has made a final decision that a PC's actions didn't fit their alignment, and that seems to be because it...
