Re: Likely World Area
Sure, resources were important for landed rulers, and developing trade routes gave me something to do and a reason to be kept around, but I don't know, it wasn't that satisfying, and sometimes required a lot of mental gymnastics. I'm also pretty sure I accidentally cheated on some buildings back whe...

Re: Likely World Area
As a guilder, I didn't find managing resources a particularly fun and compelling part of the game. I think the other holding types just make too much money, and that's why guilds aren't the economic powerhouse they ought to be.

Re: The New Old Gods
I almost asked if these new old gods had any children, like the old new gods, but somehow I get the impression none would have ever been that friendly with any of the others. Friendly doesn't necessarily have anything to do with it. What if all the children-of-originals gods in this game were Rhyel...

Re: Likely World Area
Will some people play the natives and others the colonizers? Will there be race restrictions accordingly?

Re: End of Game / Next Game?
I feel like with our low regent density, it made sense for so many people to be multi-class and able to make most of their own holdings.

Re: End of Game / Next Game?
I like how the Crusader Kings games handle armies. You've got a very limited pool to create retinues with to serve as a standing army, and then the bulk of the manpower comes from calling up vassal troops. Vassals might not send you very much if they're not happy and they get steadily less happy the...

Re: Questions
Apologies if this is covered somewhere - how does one dismiss a LT whose services are no longer required? Is it a free action? Is there a great captain risk? Do you send them alone on a high DC adventure? Can you offer them to another regent?

Re: Questions
Stupid question I should have asked a long time ago: With trade route chains, can adjacent links in the chain be of the same type (land/sea) of route? I.e. if they're part of a chain, is it allowed to have land route from a to b, land route from b to c? Or would it have to be sea route from b to c? ...
