Lyssan

Lyssan, the capital of the Chimaeron, is the seat of government for the Council of Leaders. The council meets in a large tower near the eastern cliff which has been chosen as the capital solely due to its central location. The town’s stone and wood houses are built on a mountain plateau. Its terraced fields, mostly staple crops, are spread out on the plateau and below. Farming in Lyssan exploits every scrap of fertile land to feed the local population. Most of the town’s money comes from its metalwork produced from the resources excavated locally in the Iron Peaks province. This industry primarily fuels the arms trade, indiscriminately accepting all buyers, be they criminals, mercenaries, or both sides of Osoerde’s civil war. Some excellent quality jewellery is also produced here, no doubt benefiting from the skill and experience of forgers who became fugitives in hiding.
The mayor is Yuri Khavlor, a Vos druid who lost his faith in Erik when his only daughter was slain by a wild boar in the forests. He now demonstrates as much compassion for nature, as it did for his daughter which is to say none. Under his direction, the province seems devoted to extracting as much as possible from nature for the benefit of its people, in a seeming act of vengeance. He holds little patience for anything resembling etiquette or intrigue, appreciating those who are direct and quick to point in a business discussion. His own motives are readily observable, he has a particular love for gold and is rather blunt in his requests for bribes.
