Yeah, only us can insert sticks in holes and similar stuff, remembers than mostly is a decaying body. Not too sure how many time until the message arrives, and not too sure Exalted's priests will cast spells to maintain it fresh. For 1 GB I Maerlyn will give a ride to shadowlands to see the body from that perspective even, heh

The body is maintained with embalm spell :P

We run high-class funerals down south. Might even spring for the glass coffin thing like Rasputin had.

There are some different approaches with remembrances and wakes. Mats would go more with a Irish wake.... Giant party where you celibate the person's life... Probably would offend people that wanted a more somber affair.

That would be the after-party, definitely a different aspect :)

I assume the norm for the Architect's faith would be pyres and cremation. I imagine that moseleums and grave yards are inherently suspect in their eyes. There was probably more than a few diplomatic incident over the centuries spurred by Architect followers digging up other peoples' ancestors and burning their corpses "just in case".

Priests of Mats are aghast at you ruining their careful plans to let someone have an adventure in the weirdly spacious catacombs under the moseleum 40 years later.

It's a two-fer, really. The Architect people come in and burn the horrors out, and then someone else come along later and extinguish the flame-throwers they left behind.
