There was a recent news post regarding the identity and location of a wizard's holdings, when it comes to secret holdings like sources, when are they ingame information and when must they be disregarded? My previous understanding was that you must be a source holder with holdings in the province to see them ingame, is that correct?

A province owner or source owner with holdings in the province.

So any province or source owner can see sources regardless of their class? A warrior for example? They are only hidden from those who have temple/guild/law?

The province owner can feel the magic of the land and know where it is being attacked/siphoned from to my understanding.

Temple/Guild/Law holders have no visibility on it.

Other source holders have enough connection to the Mebhaighal to tell where other opposing sources are in the province. They cannot determine if a ley line exists or crosses the province though without casting the appropriate spell.

I thought I answered it somewhere, so I am hesitant to make a call on it, but I thought it was the landed regent could see if they were a wizard.

I was under the impression that anything with { } brackets on the turn report was hidden.

Only those with arcane casting ability could see a holding or know who the owner is, or potentially contest it.

However, I think the rules for using occupation and using armies to deplete sources did not require arcane abilities.

Wizard Rules:
Sources are hidden holdings

Sources can be located by an espionage action by any regent in the province.

My understanding was that you had to be an arcane caster to see them, which is why I asked for the clarification.

I'd definitely differentiate between arcane casting ability vs a wizard. A ranger has arcane casting ability, as do priests of a few deities.

Maybe "ability to collect regency from sources" would be a better qualifier?

Only wizards can see them. If you have a wizard with your army he can point out the sources. You used to be able to do an espionage if you didn't have a wizard but I think that changed to you had to be or have a wizard to find them.
