They've been imported, or were in several games past. The Bireons often paid troops with RP in early turns before their funds got sustainable.

Wizards can get a 1 to 4 ratio with alchemy. Generally RP and GB can be traded at a better then 5 to 1 ratio.

If you need would consider doing 5 to 1 for some reason reach out to a player and negotiate a better rate.

I have always wondered how such an exchange occurred without spending an action on investiture or a previously established diplomatic relationship that also required an action and on going upkeep/court level. I never thought RP was something that could be easily traded.

Typically it isn't. There are enough overlapping agreements it is likely a trade can be facilitated between two parties with one or two others as intermediaries due to various State Faith, Guild, Wizard, Law agreements.

[TH - The Hunt]

I'm pretty sure it can't, unless there's a vassalage contract between the two characters. Then it's a free action. Not sure if it still takes a priest or not. Just having a treaty is not enough, there has to be a bond that's a hazard to break (and takes an investiture action to set up).
