So you can intentionally try to botch an event to hurt someone?

I assume he will roll to see which Temple gets the Great Captain and it will be listed under the event when he gets around to the more detailed explanation of each event.

You can attempt a Random Event and if you "succeed" you can increase it's DC to make it worse.

It's like a negative adventure. Thay can still attempt to resolve, but have a penalty based on your interference.

I think.... or maybe you just increase it's percentage. I've never done such a terrible thing so not sure.

I don't think it is DC that is increased but the "Resolve Rate" is worsened so that of the adventured isn't tried twice it will rollover to the next turn which that happening causes the DC to go up.

I have. The GB normally spent to 'Improve' ended up reducing the next players roll on the attempt.

yeah, but not great captain?

If you dont have any holdings to lose.. should perhaps loose holdings anyway, but the closes ones in other province?

A captain arrives with failed resolution. They are hostile to the province and current holding owners there.

They seek to expand their influence (ie they get more holdings) as they can.

I'd recommend against failing.
