I assumed(incorrectly) that a unit raised was immobile that action. I was wrong. I am grateful someone else's war cleared that up.

May have been a misunderstanding in the way news was written about them moving in with their units as support instead of after the war was declared? News is written by witnesses and not always completely detailed and is condensed for simplicity sake.

It once they settled the province it was their realm and included in defensive acts. So the levy was free action mustered and as a defensive action were able to move to defend that part of the realm.

Levy province (instead of mustering) works, too.

Now I have the last question on this since that is settled. Moving troops outside your court range. Is that allowed?

Court range is the limit. You can however diplomacy action flag a unit to another person, who can move it within their court range...

Which costs a GB and the GB for each having a court of 1 each.

Declare War doesn't have a target province... so rather than the action being limited, it's just that units aren't allowed to travel any further? How would that work if you flag a unit to someone who's too far to move it?

Does this range limit apply to raiding, too? I thought only the speed of the units or ship mattered.

Correct both would do a 1gb diplo and have court 1 for it to be a free action.
