Some of the tier events have turns attributed to them, and some others don't. Does that mean you can use them whenever you want?

Which are you referring to specifically as non-turn specific?

Generally, if undeclared you should assume it is in the turn after it was posted (so anything posted should be for Turn 23 or earlier).

For example Maulok Tier 3 vs Teferynn Tier 3

If undeclared, it takes place in the turn after announced. So Teferynn occurs in turn 23.

Book of Random NWP +1, is that to a NWP you already have or is it possible that it picks up a new NWP?

You roll 1d(however many in that class of NWPs) and if it comes up something you already have you get +1 if it comes up somethng you dont have yet you get it as new NWP

You can also trade the Book away or use it for LTs/Heirs.

Huh. I thought it was only possible to increase NWPs you already had, and only special books could train a new NWP.

Every Book you find on random adventures is a "Special" Book. Each of them gives or increases a NWP. They can only be used once.


From an adventure you get this as reward:

...you rolled a major item of Book of Shadows (+1 to random Rogue NWP [ie if currently you have Espionage 14, it becomes 15])

As BM said even as it says Espionage, its not. All Book of Shadow will say its Espionage. You have to count how many Rogue NWPs there are(There are 17) and roll 1d17 to determine what you got.
