who said, you copy spellbooks easily? Don´t see that anywhere... 1/2 days per spell lvl inside...

I think you are hung up on the concept of "copy" too much.

It will be easier to think of it as preparing/writing a spellbook from spells known. Easy to do over the course of months your character spends ruling their domains.

You cannot cast spells from someone else's spellbook... the rules are pretty clear on that (see AP post above). You cannot read their spellbook, you need to write it out yourself. Understanding a spell doesn't mean in any way that you can actually cast it now, it means you understand it. It isn't yet in your spellbook, it isn't memorized.

Memorizing a spell and knowing a spell are separate things. You can't memorize a spell without knowing it, but if you know a spell you can always write it down and memorize it again later--you can't 'forget' the knowledge, even though you 'forget' the preparations each time you cast it.

Juan, which rules you are thinking about: AP just wrote: you can learn a spell from another spell book (except in this game)..... I assume it's an house rule you never wrote down so please be so kind and write it in your rules, that such an discussion has not to be done again. Best write down, that the only possibility for wizards to get new spells in BR is through levelling or researching in a library. If there is really a rule written in phb or dmg please tell me the page- I have copied again and again passages from phb where it is allowed.

I have always considered that your spell-book contains the information of the process of how you memorize a certain spell as well as how you cast it. While for most mages the way the spell is cast is similar (if not identical), the 60 minutes you spend of committing that lvl 6 spell to memory, may be completely different compared to what your colleague wizard may do.

Which basically renders another's spell-book close to useless.

It's already listed in the rules for this game and has been stated before. Level up, use a domain action, or use a library as a free action. Quit trying to make it more difficult to understand. It is extremely straightforward and basic. Level up. Domain action. Library free action. That's it.

Wizard Rules:
Gaining Normal Spells:
@leveling: Wizards gain 2 spells + 1 spell if they have a specialization (must be taken from said specialization)
Wizards start with 8 spells at level 1 + 2 from their chosen specialization.

Researching (Non-Realm) Spells:
Access to a library allows you to learn 2 new spells-levels per library level (eg, 2 level 1 spells, or 1 level 2 spell) as a Free Action, once per turn
Alternatively, you may spend a domain action to learn 2 new spells, or 2x (Library+1) spells (of any level)
NB: This refers to spells that can be found on www.purpleworm.org/rules - you will not be creating new spells, or learning spells from other sources. Note: You can learn spells from BR specific source books, as well.

Here from chapter 7 Dungeon master guide: acquisition of spells: Copying from Spell Books

The second way to acquire new spells is to copy them from the spell books of other wizards. A character can copy from other player characters (if they will allow it), pay NPC wizards for the privilege (see Chapter 12 : NPCs), or take them from captured spell books. When copying spells, a character must roll to see if the character can learn the spell. No character can copy without magical aid of a spell of a level he cannot cast.

You are bumping into the house rule again.

NB: This refers to spells that can be found on www.purpleworm.org/rules - you will not be creating new spells, or learning spells from other sources.

The only sources for learning spells in this game is specified.

And where is written there that you not can copy from spellbooks? The link goes exactly to the dungeon master guide. In giving two examples that is clearly not enough or which sentence you are referencing too? It's written that the only source for spells are the following books (see link) but not that all rules in the sources except the examples are invalid. Learning spells from other sources means that you can only reference the following source books, nothing else.
