A higher one designates more power in the Spirit World. It is not generally seen as a good thing necessarily, no.

In general terms, a high seeming draws attention in the spirit world, and teleportation effects touch the edge of the spirit world.

Other spells than those used to move quickly do, too. Anything that makes you go ethereal, for instance.
