Dumb question regarding roads
I couldn't find the answer but I might be blind.
Can two different regents work on the same road simultaneously to cut down the construction time in any of these cases? (Basically both contributing a d6 in the same action on the same road)
Scenario 1:
Regent A owns both provinces
Regent B has holdings in one or both provinces
Scenario 2:
Regent A owns one province
Regent B owns the other province
Scenario 3:
Regent A owns both provinces and all the holdings
Regent B is in an alliance with regent A and can freely travel through regent A's provinces

Re: Dumb question regarding roads
If so, could this be expanded to joint works on any other buildings? I think that could quickly be abused to get buildings up in no time. If this is possible, I say it should only be possible for roads, and only under the justification that each regent could build half the road in their province.

Previously the answer has been no. One regent builds it. Pick the cheapest person to build it, then split the cost with a grant.

Re: Dumb question regarding roads
Can work on different segments of road, or pool GB to rush a road to completion. But it's not possible to apply two build actions to the same building. All buildings (including roads and forts) are constructed by only one regent. Bridges count as part of a road.

Re: Dumb question regarding roads
I don't think it's possible to 'use the cheapest movement cost', either... I think the road cost depends on the races of the two provinces, not the race of the regent building the road.

Correct. You choose who has the cheapest total cost to build it.

How? If there's an elf and a dwarf who want to build a road connecting their high mountains and heavy forest, the cost should be the same 3 GB no matter which one of them built it. Unless they both settled the wrong terrain, in which case it'd be 9 GB no matter which one of them built it. (Even if they traded provinces, unless they resettled them first.)

I think John meant if one person had relevant NWPs.KC - Kavagh Clan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 8:06 pmHow? Re: Dumb question regarding roads
Correct, it uses the movement cost of the local population. The movement cost of the race of builder is irrelevant.
Re: Dumb question regarding roads
Also, you cannot jointly build a building
