Expanding Summoning
Re: Expanding Summoning
It's probably a bit too powerful, I'll look at the math again, increase cost slightly per unit at least.

Re: Expanding Summoning
Can we just go back to the old way? Maybe increase summons after 9th level? It was slightly better than the old way as it is now. If you increase prices it makes it worse. I'd rather just go back to the way it was a week ago than messing with it until the always complaining people are happy. They wont be happy until it is nerfed weaker than it was before we ever started changing it.

Re: Expanding Summoning
Everyone was used to the way it was a week ago and so less inclined to whine about it when used against them. No matter how you change it from what it is now....if they are beaten in any scenario where it is used they will point to this Summons change as the "unfair" way they were beaten. When I stomp them into the mud I want it to be pure. I don't want them to be able to hang onto even a shred of an excuse.
Re: Expanding Summoning
Perhaps a hybrid.
Like it was before, but keeps going, and change the cost slightly.
Like 2GB/4RP per Ogre, 2GB/3RP per Orog, 2GB/2RP per Gnoll or something.

Re: Expanding Summoning
The problem before, was that everyone only summoned the strongest they could. The problem now appears to be that it is unbalanced towards Gnolls.

Re: Expanding Summoning
It also capped before. Which was a problem. Max was only ever a type.
But yeah because summoning stronger units also cost less per power the stronger ones were only ever summoned

Re: Expanding Summoning
1 Tier per level + 1 Tier at every 3rd level. This gives 12 Tiers at level 9 and Ogres are Tier 6 right? So that's 2 Ogres at 9th. 12 tiers = 2 Tier 6 Ogres.
12 Tiers = 4 Orogs
12 Tiers = 6 Gnoll Irregulars.
So that keeps it at same as it was before we meddled.
And the progression of 1 tier per level +1 every 3rd level allows for more summons at higher levels.
Make it 1 GB/1RP per Tier.
Wizard can summon as few as he wants or as many as his level allows.

Re: Expanding Summoning
Ogres are just Tier 5 I think, comarable though very different stats from a Knight, maybe Tier 6 but looks more like 5.5 if anything

Re: Expanding Summoning
Ok so we swipe them from tier 5 and make them tier 6 and my proposal works? Or are they set as tier 6 in the program and if so does it even matter if we just call them tier 6 for the math?
