I think crabs use the crustacean table for reincarnation, not the humanoid one. So they come back in the form of other decapods.

Also, laughing at the mental image of a weird old mountain coot turning dead crabs into live lobsters with his magic spells.

Hrm...does everything have to be attached to the body to be reincarnated? Could have crab for dinner and reincarnate it into lobster for breakfast!
