XP
Re: XP
That's way too over the top... some flat everyone balance out XP, is one thing. A complicated formula, based on way too high a start-point is just level inflation. I'd be more inclined to a flat +20K XP or something, IF anything. But I am more inclined to say: it's not the end of the world.
Py is maybe 3 levels higher than he would be without it; Isaelie and you are 2 levels too high, and the rest of the Mages are basically ~0-1 level different (like 5-20K max XP).

Re: XP
Well there ya go. And here I changed from a mage to a cleric last game to be a team player when I could have been Pyroneous much earlier. Glad I never tried to assassinate Leira now.
Like I said about not wanting people to use the Summon change to claim they were beaten on a technicality I also do not want people crying about the Leveling. So Pyroneous dies of a heart attack from so much power rushing through him. He explodes and kills his lieutenant Levertica in the process. His third cousin twice removed who is not a wizard is invested with his source holdings.
Eric Voren, a young boy of 15, enslaved by pirates in (to be determined), is suddenly invested with Pyroneous' blood, sources, RP, items and gold.
He frees himself from slavery with his new blood powers or buys his way out depending on what his powers might be.
He immediately offers 43 Source holdings for sale in whole or in part. for RP and/or GB.
He sighs as everything is right in the world as someone in his family has died in every game and the tradition continues.

Re: XP
Nah I am now a new character. Either I will be pissed thinking the nerf on my levels was incorrect or others will think I am still too high and always use it to cry.
I'm new character Level 1 Unless I can re DP up to 4th or so.
Will post a new board with details on the sale of Sources to all the too high wizards in the game. It's the easiest fix.

Re: XP
No reason to adjust any other wizards XP down or up now. And they get the chance to buy source holdings and save themselves time.

Re: XP
Birthright games are most frequently unbalanced in domain power, character level, others. It has only been these couple diaspora games where everyone starts from scratch in an unrealistic even footing.
This removes historical influences, and generates the risk interaction being complained about.
Let the wizards have their heyday. Next game maybe they will take a smaller role and a few other players can be given the big domains.

I like the realm parity. It leads to fewer players dropping when they are crushed out of the gate.

Re: XP
Based on just the math thread, Pyro isn't too much out of line. Could easily hit the 125K for 11th by turn 3 end.
At worst I think should be the +20k XP to everyone (to include Pyro since he and KT both got the most boost out of it).
At best, just keep on rolling as we are. The game is fine and everyone will recover...or they'll die

Re: XP
Tbh, we change things that are clearly wrong. Everyone would have known there is no reason for wizards to get double xp from ruling just because we made them invisible. We just didnt have any other wizard pushing it so we didn't notice. If someone had done the same thing in one of the last 2 games, we´d have fixxed it then.
Like bless in diaspora. It was nerfed midgame, but nothing was changed retroactively, despite a number of priests having benefited greatly.
Just remove the double xp in the future and its fine. No going back and trying to remove xp or making silly buffs.
(if we really wanted to, we´d just add xp for each ruled for everyone. And it would be the same for all. And pyroneus would likely still be on top for that matter, since he´s likely to have ruled the most. but so much work to sort out.)

That's because you benefitted from the double XP significantly.KT - King Traigon wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 1:24 pmok, problem solved- by the way I have the same level as our guilder...
A single-class rogue would normally have a 1 level lead with all things being equal.
