(if we really wanted to, we´d just add xp for each ruled for everyone. And it would be the same for all. And pyroneus would likely still be on top for that matter, since he´s likely to have ruled the most. but so much work to sort out.)

Re: XP
Ok so I been working/driving and skimmed a lot of shit earlier. So ALL wizards got extra xp from ruling sources and from fails? And has anyone checked to see if ruling non source holdings also have xp on fails? So solution would be for all to go back and add up how much extra xp they received and subtract it right? If this glitch gave the extra xp to everyone then no single person got more than anyone else for same actions? If it is just sources then all the wizards should have xp removed they got from failed attempts and from the doubling xp for successes and everything will be right? Is that what I am reading? Should be an easy fix then.

Re: XP
Everyone gets XPs from fails (which seems reasonable across all aspects -- even if you don't succeed, you learned something).
The biggest gap is the source holdings were giving 2x XP because they classed as 'secret.'
A lot of math to backtrack through, also would impact levels, potentially bloodline objectives (which then causes more XP to be pulled), etc.
Easier to give a straight +X amount to everyone -- or do nothing other than shut the 2x for secret holdings down (although now the secret holdings with a DC of 5 higher than other holding attempts pay less XP than they rightfully should -- but that's a verrrry small subset of holdings).

I'm good with whatever Juan wants to do -- it really doesn't end up being that much in the long-term when factored against length of game.

Re: XP
Hmm so to be fair and easy do nothing about failed rule XP since everyone got that. All mages could just count up their source levels, subtract the number they created with initial DP and then multiply the remainder by 500 and remove it and it would be just about even Steven right? Or as close or exactly spot on to evening things out while still being simple?

Re: XP
If it knocks any levels down on anyone that summoned it’s an easy fix to just knock a unit or two off where needed.

That's a lot of extra work for Juan to go and double-check on.Py - Pyroneous wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 5:58 pmHmm so to be fair and easy do nothing about failed rule XP since everyone got that. Retroactively changing things is always messy. Fix it going forward. If necessary, throw people an XP bone to re-balance somewhat.

Re: XP
How do you determine how much extra people should get? And should any mages get it since they all benefited from all the glitches? How do you set the amount? An average of all the mages? Shouldn’t set it according to Pyroneous because he sold his lands and concentrated on it so it is not really fair. Better to take it away from all mages. It’s easier. Look at source levels now. Subtract the number created in turn 0 and multiply by 500 which takes away the extra that was gained solely by mages.

Re: XP
Whatever Juan wants to do.
But we've already got units summoned from high-leveled mages. Actions outside of wizards have been dedicated to countering that. It's factored into diplomacy and agreements being made, etc.
Removing stuff is always more painful than just readjusting going forward and throwing a bonus if needed (and +20k would be the most it should be -- it provides a boost, but doesn't give everyone the lottery ticket so to speak).
