Where does it say that you can not move past a castle? I always thought you just need to leave province lvl units to occupy a province and the rest can move on?

I have said that elves should be faster than Karamhul or orogs but not in a factor 24:1. Otherwise my guess will be that most people will want to play elves in future campaigns. If you start beside a elf who chooses to do go all inn military to submitt your units there is no way you can build enough defenses to stand against the elven irregular army swarming your provinces. If you try to build a defense against that you will have no income at all.

I would note that I have not been sending waves of Irregulars. I agree that that would be more optimal than what I am doing.

The solution is to convert Scout into +2-3 movement not ignore terrain movement rate. All races can build Scout-swarms. You are focusing on the wrong thing. It is the scout ability that is the problem. It is not the Sidhelien units all having Scout.

I dont see the problem at all really. Dwarves are used to being invincible, they are finding out there is a cost. If the turtle sticks its head out to claim new territory, they become vulnerable. I dont think that should be removed.

I guess your right :) My point was some units move light lightning and some move almost not at all. I like your idea it is also easy to implement.

You can build the defenses quickly. And you can stop an irregular flood if you invest wisely from the get go.

Fortification (6 GBs with appropriate NWPs).
Irregular (2 GBs each).

Turn 1 Fall
LT Action: Settle Province X to 0
Action 1: Settle Province X to 1
Action 2: Explore Y
Action 3: Explore Y
Shrine to level 1
Fortification in Province X to 1

Turn 2 Winter
LT Action: Train Troops (2x Irregulars)
Action 1: Settle Province Y to 0
Action 2: Settle Province Y to 1
Action 3: Create Holding Province X
Shrine to level 2
Fortification in Province Y to 1
Road Province X to Y

Turn 3 Spring
LT Action: Train Troops (2x Irregulars)
Action 1: Create Holding in X
Action 2: Explore Z
Action 2: Trade Route (if Guilder) or Realm Rule Holding
Shrine to level 2 or 3
Road Province X to Z

I'm fine with this too, it will result in much slower units for everyone which isn't game-breaking in any shape or form.

Just wondering, where is this stated in the rules? The descriptions of Dimension Door & Shadow Walk from the BR rulebook both mention a percentile change, and a limited frequency,.. so in no way that would result to what your describing. Even though both would result in a short-lived passage in the Shadow World.

Ok so we change it like Riva says next game? Shouldn’t change this game as Mishrak made decisions based on that movement and has made enemies etc.
