Yes, but the imbalance problem I think stems from Karamhul and Sidhelien being able to entirely disregard that issue, and build away on their own.

I don't think there is a need to change anything regarding racial ressources.
Everyone was able to select up to 6 ressources from start. That made it pretty easy to build whatever you wanted. If you didn't select the ressources, that's your own choice.

Yes, makes them have a huge initial advantage, in early turn, how much it takes to deploy sidhe archers?... 2 turns maybe? its the best medium unit of game

You don't have to start on plains just because you're a human... I chose to start on low mountains (though I didn't get to pick the resource there).

Maybe if the philosophy is use DP or get screwed, the elves and dwarves should lose the alternate grain, and building materials rules, and they can use the DP purchases instead.

I don't think races should all have the same abilities/advantages. Difference makes it interesting. If you feel a race is maybe worse, you could always play another.
Or just deal with it.
I wasn't Karamhul or Sidhe this round and selected to start with 4 resources. I used 2 myself and used 1 to build a building for another player and 1 ressource I gave away.
Karamhul and Sidhe have some advantages, but they also have disadvantages.

Like?. Weakness that can be fixed in game are not disadvantages. And being inmortal also rocks. If you want to play the lineage game, then play a gobbo or gnoll, but apart of that... they can start with low temples and guilds, and once they have something built or TR done, they can ignore that rule. I would suggest to fix it to have zero guilds and tmeples to have the advantage. Its more logical than having sidhe that dont care too much until its more than certain ammount of holdings. After all, they lack soul..,)
