Every hero needs a tragic backstory!

I do think it could be fun, but what you could buy with the extra point and how many extra points you could get from flaws would have to be carefully considered. If military units can be bought with point buy, and multiple flaws were allowed, that could easily be abused into a quick blitz.

Unless the flaw is determined through consultation with the DM rather than simply chosen. Then the player who point-buys a world conquering army can have the flaw that their regent is a hippie.

A hippie who gets deposed in a violent coup turn 1 by their half-brother, who then proceeds with the world-conquering.

While the half-brother inherited his mother's bloodlust, unlike the true heir; unfortunately he also inherited his father's attractiveness to arrows...

Now fully back to being able to devote time to this properly, and having read the various threads... this game is going to end. I will tie off the loose ends, and think about what to do going forward.

Some options include shuffling this game around slightly, moving it forward in time a bit, redrawing some borders/provinces/events into the game, and potentially shuffling players around so that people can have a different perspective, playing someone else's domain/character.

Or, starting a new game in a different setting.

Welcome back! All those options sound interesting, what are you leaning towards? Anything we can do to help?

I really liked a lot of the Pantheon that was developed. Would love to see it used.

I also love the Idea of assigning players to continue the legacy of other realms. Not only to get people to move outside their comfort zones, but also to create some novelty in the trajectory of various realms.

Either it will be here, or somewhere else, but either way - it would be a quasi-continuation of this game/setting, with the ramification of events/choices definitely impacting things.

Importantly, the destruction of Life/Unlife entities will cause the collapse of humanity, the world will not be able to support them (there will be a workaround of sorts ). I have concepts on how that would impact this setting if we skipped forward a (human) generation, but will ponder how best to do it.
