Not sure I agree with some of those. In concept, yes, but Humans and Elves haven't had a long history of destroying each other at this point, I don't think. Wouldn't we just be getting into that?
The whole premise of this game is that we had to flee our homelands and become refugees again because the Elven Empire (aka, the Hegemony) destroyed it.

Seems more like a role-playing thing. We have regency loss for situations where the ruler does something that their realm would disagree with, but that tends to be more of an alignment concern.

Maybe our(my?) issue is more with people that simply go for the "optimal" build/turn/character and leave behind all the flavor that happens when things aren't optimal. :?

That's all in the choice part, though. There should always be an element of chance as well. The best-laid plans of mice and men sometimes go astray and all that.

Wait, I thought we were fleeing the Shadow, aka the rise of what would become Azrai? I didn't think that was the elves?

The elves (and dragons) of the Hegemony are the weapon/instrument/agent of the Shadow, and who did the actual destroying.

Just because she was right about everything doesn't mean you have to agree with her. You are allowed to persist in your error... ;)

That would be the definition of stupidity!

Was one thing when it was possible to avert things going like this... entirely another thing once it happens :)
