Corbin was planned from an early time to corrupt slowly as the land. At beggining, the grudges with dwarves and Bors were somehow the typical of the 'House of the Praerie', with the revenge upon Bors would be buying the land and renaming it Bors Foolishness or similar. The grudge for the dwarves was mostly unable to advance, as the original land was later sold to RL. Pointless. In the end, I didnt care for the dwarves and didnt mind help them if required. Danae offered him Bors Land, so that grudge would be also finished.
My shrines descriptions were somehow weird, each turn being modified to reflect a more 'Slaanesh' approach. Guess nobody noticed it, heh.
RL was trying to destroy the Shadow , and Corbin was investigating it, at the same point than giving it some power. If were not by the involvement of LL, the war would had finished quick and no one would had been harmed. It was not really his wish raze everything around, but to neutralize Grycemark. Once things went to worse, started to offer power to the Shadow to open gates to stop the reinforcements. RL somehow got worried by the excessive power was giving to the Shadow. The Shadow was growing, but needed help to grow and remember who it was. Corbin having Blood History with racial knowledge of the times where the halflings roamed the Shadowlands, was a very useful piece of information for Shadow.
RL was too fcoused in divinity and got bored of the mortal games, so cut the supply of undead, and Corbin could only raise a few ones per turn, that were routinely destroyed by Shireen. Due to the lack of support by the Central Alliance, I was gladly to accept the truce RL wanted, specially as protected Corbin, being a vasal of the Prince.
His goal was of course the ascension, stepping down so his daughter could take the control, and being able to raise large ammounts of undeads, make a so brutal battle than will help Corbin ascends. RL asked me to give them RP so he could ascend quicker and in return help him later. It was a risky thing to do, as RL was quite chaotic, but there were few options anyway.
Corbin was a Blood of Light, with the power of controlling others without touch them. In the battlegrounds, was able to cast a Defection once per year, what happened in the last battle against Grycemark, to make a curtain to delay the forces.
Still, Corbin had a soft spot for Thamiel, Olaf and Borje, but Valen always looked to him suspicious. He wanted really to join forces with Gaelin, and had several times in mind doing it. That soured the relations, as noticed Gaelin never really attacked him, but well, that meant a flank was safe anyway.
Never understood the Serpent or Poland, too far away and too alien for him. And felt quite pity for the gnolls.
If Shireen would had shared the secret of gunpowder with him, probably things would had been quite different, nothing like that to amuse an alchemist!..
. Who knows?. Also, never got the point of where the halfos would be in an human society.
