What was the entity giving us the main adventure rewards? My OOC theories were that is was the Shadow trying to deceive and tempt us or the Dragons. Or possible the living spirit of the planet?

If I was playing a different kind of character I would be tempted to harness the silver liquid, and forge a weapon. Perhaps rediscover the origin of Tighmaevril.

I really enjoyed the main adventure rewards. They were impactful and something to look forward to.

It was the "World Force". The Shadow was, in a sense, it's child.

It was the planet. It awakened when blooded people arrived. It was learning about the entities that walked upon it. The Shadow was created when the Dragons crafted a prison for one of their kind (later known as Lady Nesirie) who formerly was the "Dragon" of the Avian people, who were necromancers. At some point they turned to hordes of undead to compete with the other native races/dragons, due to being outpowered and largely disliked by the others. The other Dragons all panicked, and shredded the world's essence to create a prison to trap all the Avians before they lost, in a pocket dimension (later of course, the Shadow plane). When you arrived, you also awoke the prison/Shadow which was basically the "child" of the planet in the planet's view. Child of rape. As the world became more sentient, so too did The Shadow.

Also, to clarify something. Siocce did not consider herself a direct vassal to Dhoesone, simply put: Dhoesone always offered her better things than other people for her help. She may have said to people she thought she was a vassal to try to imply they should pay more for her 'treachery' but she was pretty transparently always looking out for herself first.

As far as I know, Siocce only adventured with Anuire's regents once. And Brom was there, too. Mostly she was with Rhyel.

Valen was completely transparent. He wasn't deceiving anyone ever, except for one promise he broke, which really tore him up.

He promised Gaelin when he found out who was controlling the shadow incurssions, he'd declare war on them, and then Rhyel told him it was Corbin and it was a secret and he should trust Rhyel to derail the shadow's ascension through Corbin.

But Valen was determined to get Corbin, one way or another, and so he was looking to organize the peace in such a way as to exclude Corbin from the protections of the peace treaty so Valen could merge with Anuire and drop his other treaties, and then put an end to Corbin once and for all.

Corbin was planned from an early time to corrupt slowly as the land. At beggining, the grudges with dwarves and Bors were somehow the typical of the 'House of the Praerie', with the revenge upon Bors would be buying the land and renaming it Bors Foolishness or similar. The grudge for the dwarves was mostly unable to advance, as the original land was later sold to RL. Pointless. In the end, I didnt care for the dwarves and didnt mind help them if required. Danae offered him Bors Land, so that grudge would be also finished.
My shrines descriptions were somehow weird, each turn being modified to reflect a more 'Slaanesh' approach. Guess nobody noticed it, heh.

RL was trying to destroy the Shadow , and Corbin was investigating it, at the same point than giving it some power. If were not by the involvement of LL, the war would had finished quick and no one would had been harmed. It was not really his wish raze everything around, but to neutralize Grycemark. Once things went to worse, started to offer power to the Shadow to open gates to stop the reinforcements. RL somehow got worried by the excessive power was giving to the Shadow. The Shadow was growing, but needed help to grow and remember who it was. Corbin having Blood History with racial knowledge of the times where the halflings roamed the Shadowlands, was a very useful piece of information for Shadow.

RL was too fcoused in divinity and got bored of the mortal games, so cut the supply of undead, and Corbin could only raise a few ones per turn, that were routinely destroyed by Shireen. Due to the lack of support by the Central Alliance, I was gladly to accept the truce RL wanted, specially as protected Corbin, being a vasal of the Prince.

His goal was of course the ascension, stepping down so his daughter could take the control, and being able to raise large ammounts of undeads, make a so brutal battle than will help Corbin ascends. RL asked me to give them RP so he could ascend quicker and in return help him later. It was a risky thing to do, as RL was quite chaotic, but there were few options anyway.

Corbin was a Blood of Light, with the power of controlling others without touch them. In the battlegrounds, was able to cast a Defection once per year, what happened in the last battle against Grycemark, to make a curtain to delay the forces.
Still, Corbin had a soft spot for Thamiel, Olaf and Borje, but Valen always looked to him suspicious. He wanted really to join forces with Gaelin, and had several times in mind doing it. That soured the relations, as noticed Gaelin never really attacked him, but well, that meant a flank was safe anyway.

Never understood the Serpent or Poland, too far away and too alien for him. And felt quite pity for the gnolls.

If Shireen would had shared the secret of gunpowder with him, probably things would had been quite different, nothing like that to amuse an alchemist!..;). Who knows?. Also, never got the point of where the halfos would be in an human society.

If anyone cares, Malinda was starting to put together a long program of taking over from Daene and his family.

Malinda was putting together the strings to usurp Daene's family's position in Cariele. I had been feeding some information to Arawn about the naval reinforcements that were being had, as well as doing some adventuring to stockpile some GB's. When Daene's son took the throne, I was planning on taking some of the source holdings from the son to attempt to stop the ability to cast realm spells, and use my lieutenants to slowly start agitating against the Daene family.

During that time, I wasn't going to do anything during the war, other than slowly build support for Malinda, in Cariele, as the legitimate heir. I had just gotten the great captain, who was planned on gathering more support for the nobles, and marrying Malinda. This was to have helped solidify the support of the nobility behind Malinda, as well as start the ability to have a dynasty.

Research into the portals from the Shadow Realms had been about to start, particularly on how they opened and closed. The idea there was as much to protect people and provinces as it was to be able to put to the reduction of portals opening, as a "clear sign of the favor of the divine" for Malinda's rule.
So I heard!

Yup. But, since this was a discussion side of things, I figured if people wanted to talk about it, I could do my part to be available. If they didn't, hey, that's cool too.
