The New Old Gods

Post by TH - The Hunt » Mon Apr 01, 2019 2:20 am

Seems that for Flight for the Shadow, we'll be importing the deities from Diaspora. Rhyel the Satyr, Shireen the Architect, Borje (the..?), and... um... whoever the divine focus of the Pantheon and the Spirited Way are. And maybe a dragon? I'm not sure. So, what are the new faiths going to be, and what's known about them? This'll be very important for anyone considering playing a priest regent, and even more for a paladin. (The Spirited Way had paladins.)

I almost asked if these new old gods had any children, like the old new gods, but somehow I get the impression none would have ever been that friendly with any of the others.

I got the impression the dragons were what was going to turn into the original gods basically?

Shadow undead one being azrai etc?

The only two on strictly friendly terms it seems would be Rhyel and I?

Rhyel (CN) will have helped Corben (CE) ascend along with Olaf's faith (CG) and Shireen (LN) will have assisted Arawn (LE) and Moradin (LG) ascend/re-emerge. Nesirie will be a NG faith. The Spirited Way will likely also represent an avenue towards worship.

Not really friendly, but SK and RL had agreed to form an alliance and ascend at the same time, in order to jointly oppose the Shadow.

Friendly doesn't necessarily have anything to do with it. What if all the children-of-originals gods in this game were Rhyel's? Just Rhyel with every other god gives us the new-new gods. It fits with his hedonism and when you're a god I don't think gender has to have any bearing on "birthing" a new god.
