Re: Domain Failures
Thats far to much...
If you lose a lot in a war or for whatever reason you allready lost a lot. By making the extra losses this high means its basicly impossible to recover.

Re: Domain Failures
Well maybe make just a couple holding levels lost only hit RP rather than go straight to blood.

Re: Domain Failures
Should make the objective for holding levels reachievable then.
You have 20 And get knocked down to 5 and lose lots of blood. As you hit 10 and 20 again, you should get the minor objective success again (since you lost it on the way down basically).

Re: Domain Failures
Which is what the present blood loss on holdings 0 simulate. Take a little damage in a war, aka holding level loss, and you recover. Not that big of a deal.

Re: Domain Failures
I wouldent mind getting the minor 20 bl bonus everytime you hit 20 tbh. But I dont see it being THAT big a thing

Re: Domain Failures
Why not just kill both leaders of both sides and just come together? Problem solved.

Re: Domain Failures
I wouldn't mind if it was tied to roleplaying the cause for war and subsequent peace offers.
If you lose less than what is claimed as cause for war, then it's not a failure. Lose more than it's a loss.
Similarly if someone offers you peace for x, it is refused and x y and z are seized, then it's a loss.
Otherwise some offers peace for x and y, and only x is seized then that's not a loss.
Power differential should be a factor. A guild with domain power of 10 loses some holdings to a domain power 50, that should be considered negligible as a loss.
Same situation in reverse would be a huge loss.

Re: Domain Failures
Also maybe apply bloodline penalties like an random event.
I.e. Having lost a number of holdings to competitors, your artisans are openly questioning your competence. You will suffer a minor bloodline penalty if not resolved.
Player then has a chance to avoid.
They may;
Rule enough guilds to restore domain power
Inflict equal damage on the rival with armies
Assassinate a LT of the rival to warn them off.
Negotiate a permanent agreement
If the not resolved the matter could escalate, increase the penalty or spawn random events.
A player would have another turn to complete a partial success.
A second escalation means a full loss of penalty to bloodline.

Re: Domain Failures
That could get messy to calculate, since with allies realms can win wars they couldn't possibly win on their own. This would also reduce the incentive for weak realms to submit to stronger ones, which doesn't seem like a direction we want to go.
I don't like the idea of events being involved in bloodline loss because actions are worth more than bloodline score. And we definitely don't need more incentives for a regent who comes under attack to fight back, if anything that happens too often.
