Is any XP awarded for addressing non-adventure random events?

Yup. Anywhere from 1000-3000, depending on the roll/results/type. Usually closer to 1000.

A few of us are recruiting our children now as our lieutenants. These precious level 1's are desperate for xp gains.

Haha, send them to a festival or meet with foreign envoys (diplo incident), and get them up to level 2! ;)

If I give my low level LT items to bump their EPL, do I go by the sum to determine if they are over half level for counting on an adventure...

Ie lv 6 main, and lv 1 Lt with +3 ECL worth of items... to be a 6 and a 4... Is that legal or not allowed because of raw level being too low?

Ok edit ... Should have been ECL... Like +2 armor/weapon

ECL items would work. EPL items affect whole group, so no.
