Just did an diplomatic event as a free action this turn. So don't need an action for this atm.

I approach the matters of justice like SAS, but since all of my characters have been Lawful Something over the last couple games the choice has always been either Side with the Law if I think they are in the right or take an action to resolve the problem if I think there's enough legitimacy to the accused's case to warrant a more complicated resolution.

Natural Disaster should get a roll like other events, but can't be influenced. Something like
Natural Disaster severity check
Terrible Bad Average Mild
Catastrophic Building Damage, Roads Washed Away; Holding Reduced to 0; Population drops 1 level; +40% chance of death check if in your capital. Cost: All buildings reduced 2 levels Definite Building Damage, Roads Washed Away; Holding Reduced by half level; +20% chance of death check if in your capital. Cost: All buildings reduced 1 level. Potentially Building Damage, Roads Washed Away; Holding Reduced 1 level; +10% chance of death check if in your capital. Cost: 1GB per holding and building/fortification you have in the province struck, or they reduce a level. Potentially Building Damage Cost: 1GB per two holding and building/fortification you have in the province struck, or they reduce a level.
For plague, perhaps you could game out a random table for the type of plague, with different effects for different sorts of plagues. An outbreak of cholera might look different than bubonic plague, and both would look different than an outbreak of lycanthropy.

Applied resources to it, or just let it resolve randomly?

I like the catastrophe table :)

I think a quarantine would be better represented by self-occupation than fortification, though, if combined with fortification, it could guarantee the plague won't spread (unless hidden holdings do it).

They need to be looked at. Will finish turns tomorrow, and then can look at updating events. Probably remove completely the ability to bid on them without attendance. They are explicitly supposed to be an action tax anyway.

How about an option to pay another character to complete it for you? We are allowed to do that with an adventure. It may allow someone with the applicable NWP to make extra GB or other favors.

That's always been an option.
