Also Magnesium is produced in aging stars and distributed interstellarly when the stars explode but the world of Birthright is cut off from the rest of the universe so no Magnesium ever reached our world so there is no Dolomite.

https://www.scientificamerican.com/arti ... ng-taller/

People who live in poverty are shorter than those who are well-off. People who live in poverty have more children than those who are well-off. If height was being selected for to this degree, people would be getting shorter as a result of evolution--the people with better job and dating prospects will have fewer children than those who are stuck marrying cousins and subsistence farming.

Better opportunities in life don't generally result in more opportunities to contribute to the gene pool. (With some exceptions for figures like Ghenghis Khan.) This is particularly true in the modern day, but it goes all the way back to the dawn of agriculture.

It's true that a culture can strengthen traits it values, but this kind of adaptation doesn't have much to do with gene selection.
While wealth matters, genetics definitely do too.

Within Europe, even though the Baltics and Balkans are amongst the poorest European countries, their populations are considrably taller than the French, Spanish and Portuguese. Similarly Japan and South Korea are highly developed and rich nations, yet it is not seen in their heights.

Within Congo we find the pygmy tribes, where the average height is less than 150cm, yet the average Congolese is more than 20cm taller. Despite having same living conditions. All due to genetics.

There is a Khinasi named Dolemite who runs a ring of Kung fu prostitutes but that’s the only thing remotely related.

Diet is the most important factor in determining height, and wealth is not the most important factor in determining diet. Culture is more important. The East Asian diet has been dominated by grain for thousands of years, while the forests, grasslands, and low population density of northern and northeastern Europe have enabled even those less well-off to eat meat fairly regularly all the way up to industrialization. Meanwhile, Central and Western Europe were overrun by the heavily-populated but heavily grain-dependent Greco-Roman empires and had to change how they did things more, sooner, and less consentually.

Genetics just isn't enough of an explanation for how heights can change drastically in a single generation.

The children of Japanese people who are born in other countries are much taller than their parents, too... But then, so are the children born in those countries to people who've lived there for generations. It's neither the location nor their ancestry that's the main reason for the difference.

And, nah, you don't need planar travel to visit the stars, you just need an oversized catapult, or wax and canvas wings.

Bees need magnesium so there are no bees and so no beeswax. And with no bees many of the plants that wax is made from don’t exist. Also a lot of plant food doesn’t exist. Flax needs bees and cotton needs magnesium so not sure what we are wearing.

I think you're trying to illustrate a point, but instead you're just rambling insanely in a way that suggests you missed the point.

Also we need magnesium to absorb and metabolize calcium so we are all really short.

I’m saying we need a god of magnesium.

Need magnesium to prevent grass tetany in cows so no cows. So no calcium or leather. So really nothing to wear.

What is the point?

Juan has already indicated how he views the matter. His game, his decision, as to what determines racial bonuses as well as to what is/is not extinct.

Currently -- Bird-Men of Kamoshka, Masetians, and Rjurik (and possibly others from other cycles we as players are not aware of) have all gone the way of the Dodo Bird and the T-Rex.
